Product quality bends every time.
In the mill, tubes are not made to length. Rather they come off the mill in one long tube. The tube then has to be cut to meet the customer's desired length. There are many ways to cut tubes, from the traditional methods such as shearing and sawing to less conventional methods such as automated laser tube cutting. Automated laser tube cutting can reduce the cost to manufacture and produce a tube, provide flexibility, and provide the ability to create new and innovative products.
In this 90 minute archived recording, Jeff Arendas, BLM GROUP USA, Corp., will explain the benefits associated with automated laser tube cutting. "Stainless Steel Tube Cut-to-Length II" is the third FabCast in the six part Stainless Steel Tube Fabrication: From Beginning to End series.
