I read chapter 17 last night and was impressed by the author. Everything in the chapter is what I did, but have not done since 1986. The way technology is going sheet metal technicians make parts without this knowledge. This lesson is like explaining how an engine works. You need to know it but may never do it in state of the art custom fabrication driven by modern CAD and CAM systems.
